The New York Times have just put out their yearly travel article: 52 Places to Go in 2014, and good old Perth has made it into their top 10 – way to go!
The Old Crow got a nice little nod in there too – which to say the least, we’re rightly chuffed about.

Deck the halls with gin and tequilla, falalalalaaaaaaaaaaaa
Folks, we’re sad to say we’ll be closed from Tuesday 24th Dec through to the Wednesday 1st Jan. We should however be at a fairly reasonable level of sobriety to open the doors again on the Thursday 2nd for more good times. – rock steady -

“Why don’t you take a pitcher? It’ll last longer.” – J. Snell
Woo Hoo! Who’s going to the Beaufort street festival this Saturday? Well seeing as we’re just down the road a ways, why not come & fortify yourself for the big day with breakfast at The Old Crow!
We’re doing $28 pitchers of our “NEW ORLEANS NUTMEG” – Vodka, Chambord, Elderflower & dry ginger, as well as $14 SAZERAC- a ‘Noowoorleens’ classic.
These specials will be available all day Saturday & Sunday from 8am until staff bed time, because let’s face it – If there is one thing they love in New Orleans, it’s a street party.

It’s business time!
If you’ve got your RDO tomorrow, we suggest hitting us up for that all important “business lunch” with your colleagues today. Y’know, the kinda lunch that will continue well into the late afternoon, possibly evening.
There’s a lot to go over and you’ll no doubt need sustenance.

Up with the cows
Breakfast will be serving as of THIS weekend, so prepare yourselves for a bit of the delightfully unusual. A few things to consider before it all begins:
- Kransky Hot Dogs are perfectly acceptable as a kickstart to the day
- Bacon goes with everything – eggs, turduckens, shoes, weddings, desk calenders…
- Bring a responsible friend, because we sure as hell ain’t gonna stop you ordering your second/third/fourth dog
- ‘Cowboy eggs’ are not laid by cowboys, just chickens in tiny Stetsons
- Of course we’ve got vegetarian, dont be silly
- Bacon goes with vegetarian too
- October 15, 2013 -
Hotdogs for breakfast? What better occasion!
The most important meal of the day will be available in TOC as of next Sat/Sun (19/10) and every weekend forevermore.
Ben & co have been hard at work knocking up some unusual and brain-breaking tasty business for the breakfast menu.
There has been mention of hotdogs, kranskies, cowboy eggs and a few other things that could possibly make your future activities of lunch & dinner obsolete.

“Gunpowder, gelatine, dynamite with a laser beam”
Out of respect for Freddy Mercury and the boys, we will be closed this Monday 30th Sept for Queen’s birthday.
Not sure why all the other states celebrate in June though – WA must have had a postponed release date for their debut album back in ‘73, or something…

T.O.C MEMO – Attention to Ben: YOU ARE NOT BATMAN!
Ben: “Crumbed pigs tails with Mr Chang’s kimchi.”
Me: “What’s that?”
Ben: “A new snacks menu item.”
Me: “So, even though it’s only been 3 days, you want me to update the menu again?”
Ben, gently stroking my cheek: “Shhhhhhhhh…”
He still hasn’t taken off the cape, dammit.
- September 19, 2013 -
Ah… does that say ‘new menu’ above?… Again???
I tell you what – Ben is really getting on my nerves with all these chang…

All things must pass – Chocolate peanut puddings are no exception
OH NO! It’s the last chance to stuff your mouth with Popa Crow’s fried apple pies, OC trifle and chocolate peanut pudding!
Tis a sad occasion for everyone involved but Pop-C has assured us he’s got a few extra special treats to replace them – all will be revealed next week.
For anyone concerned, we will be giving each desert a Viking funeral off Point Walter Jetty sometime next week. Tissues will be available on request…

In the interest of full disclosure, we feel the need to draw your attention to the following items:
1. Slow roasted lamb shoulder, garlic puree, grilled green onions
2. Fried Chicken, chilli beans, buttermilk biscuit
3. Jerk baked rice & beans, smoky eggplant, piquillo peppers
4. Berkshire pork chop, creamed cabbage, shaved tongue & pickled onions
5. After investigation, Hudson Manhattan Rye is a seriously good drop
6. Luke Foyle has joined the kitchen team as Popa Crow’s sous. He has been informed of our ‘crocs’ embargo
